Resources to Help You Quit

UPMC provides resources to help staff who are interested in quitting smoking.

  1. Telephone. The MyHealth Ready to Quit Line, accessed through a toll-free number, is available to all UPMC staff. Highly trained health coaches provide resources, answer questions, and guide members through the quitting process. Call 1-800-807-0751 for more information.

  2. Pharmacotherapy. Products are available to relieve the discomfort often experienced in the early stages of quitting. Nicotine replacement therapy and non-nicotine tablets are available to members who are eligible for this pharmacy benefit. Prescriptions are needed for all products.

  3. Online. MyHealth Smoking Cessation Program is an interactive Web-based program accessed by entering My HUB, clicking on the Human Resources tab, and selecting MyHealth under My Benefits. It is offered through our partnership with WebMD.

  4. Print. Journey to a Smoke-Free Life is a self-help guide that can be downloaded from the UPMC Patient Education page by those who prefer to attempt to quit on their own.
