Resources to Help You Quit
UPMC provides resources
to help staff who are interested in quitting smoking.
Telephone. The MyHealth Ready to Quit Line, accessed through a toll-free number, is available to all UPMC staff. Highly trained health coaches provide resources, answer questions, and guide members through the quitting process. Call 1-800-807-0751 for more information.
- Pharmacotherapy. Products are available to relieve the discomfort often experienced in the early stages of quitting. Nicotine replacement therapy and non-nicotine tablets are available to members who are eligible for this pharmacy benefit. Prescriptions are needed for all products.
- Online.
MyHealth Smoking Cessation Program is an interactive Web-based
program accessed by entering My
HUB, clicking on the Human Resources tab, and selecting MyHealth
under My Benefits. It is offered through our partnership with WebMD.
- Print. Journey to a Smoke-Free Life is a self-help guide that can be downloaded from the UPMC Patient Education page by those who prefer to attempt to quit on their own.
